Thank you for your interest in donating to Children's Fund

Our mission is giving our vulnerable children Support, Opportunity, and Hope by breaking destructive cycles through community partnerships.

The work we do for children can be categorized into three main pillars.

Support

We support children throughout the year through our Emergency Needs Program, Care Campaigns, and especially at the holidays through the Celebration of Giving toy drive.

Emergency Needs Program:  Last year, over 2,500 children were supported with tangible items such as food, new clothing, personal hygiene products, refrigerators, beds and bedding for a good night's sleep, dental/orthodontic care, and other items to meet a vital and immediate need.

Care Campaigns: Each year, we organize drives for items needed by our children, such as backpacks, school supplies, jackets, and shoes.

Celebration of Giving:  All children deserve to feel special and remembered during the holidays and that is why Children's Fund and our supporters collected and distributed over 38,000 toys and gift cards to children and teen last Christmas.

Opportunity

Last year, 192 foster, former foster, and vulnerable youth between ages 18-25 received a scholarship from Children's Fund, and many more youth benefited from mentorship programs.

Scholarships: Children's Fund awards scholarships at CSU San Bernardino, Cal Poly Pomona, and four San Bernardino County Community Colleges.

Mentorship: We have designated funds to support a mentorship program for foster and former foster youth at our local Universities. This program gives the students peer to peer guidance, and the support and confidence needed to achieve academic excellence, greater self-esteem, and personal growth.

Hope

Last year, over 2,000 children were evaluated for sexual abuse, physical abuse, and/or severe neglect at the Children's Assessment Center.

At the Center, the only on of its kind in San Bernardino County, specially-trained forensic pediatricians and nurse practitioners, forensic interviewers, victim advocates, therapists, and law enforcement officers engage these children in a safe and comforting environment, significantly reducing their trauma.

Nearly half the children seen at the Center are under age five. Mack, the Old English Sheep Dog and live mascot of the Center, is a therapy/comfort dog who watches over the children while they are at the Center, and significantly reduces their trauma and stress.

Preventive Programs: Children's Fund places attention on preventing a crisis before it occurs with programs that build financial, emotional, and social resources for children and families, such as the early-literacy program Footsteps2Brillance, Financial Literacy Workshops, Brighter Futures Legal Clinics, and the Getting Ahead Program.

Thank you for your donation to Children's Fund.  With your support, we will continue to work toward our vision of a bright future for every child.
