The 2023 Shine-a-Light Scholarship for San Bernardino County Foster and Other Vulnerable Youth

2023 Shine-a-Light Scholarship

This year, Children's Fund is awarding several scholarships to deserving foster youth and other vulnerable youth who live in San Bernardino County. This scholarship is intended for youth graduating high school this year, first-year community college, university, or vocation school students; and/or those transitioning from community college to a university. The scholarship winners will be notified on April 7, 2023.  All Youth Applicants and their Nominators (case managers) should review both the Shine-A-Light Scholarship Guidelines and the Application below to ensure they qualify for the scholarship.

Please review the Guidelines for detailed instructions on how to apply for this scholarship. 

The case manager will submit the complete packet to Children's Fund.  A complete packet consists of the application (completed by the case manager/Nominator on the youth’s behalf), the Youth Applicant Essay (500-600 words, written by the youth), and the Nominator’s Recommendation Statement (written by the case manager/Nominator).
